Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.”
These words from today’s gospel are an invitation as we face an uncertain future given the consequences of the coronavirus. Unemployment, evictions, failed businesses, and worry over childcare keep many awake at night. There is a sense of loss for the weddings, graduations, ordinations, first communions, confirmations, among so many other life events, that were long awaited and expected. Yet, Jesus tells us, 'I am here, come to me.'
